The tattoo series

This series of tattoo paintings refer to the pictorial substrate as torso skin stripped from the body and the pictorial content as a personal tattoo. The series was inspired by a collection of preserved tattooed human skins of the Japanese yakuza (The Medical Pathology Museum of Tokyo University)
